Pleocytosis

Pleocytosis is a term used to describe an increased cell count {Gk. pleion more}, commonly an increase in white blood cell count in a bodily fluid, such as cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), indicative of an inflammatory, infectious, or malignant condition.
