Pinch is an unincorporated census-designated place in Kanawha County, West Virginia, United States. The population was 2,811 at the 2000 census.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the Pinch CDP has a total area of 3.5 square miles (9.2 km²), of which, 3.5 square miles (9.1 km²) of it is land and 0.04 square miles (0.1 km²) of it (1.13%) is water.
There were 1,138 households out of which 32.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 64.7% were married couples living together, 9.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 23.6% were non-families. 20.9% of all households were made up of individuals and 7.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.47 and the average family size was 2.85.
The community's age distribution is 22.1% under the age of 18, 7.3% from 18 to 24, 29.3% from 25 to 44, 28.6% from 45 to 64, and 12.7% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 40 years.
