Peau d'orange

Peau d'orange

The French term peau d'orange means "orange skin". It is used in medicine to describe something with the look (orange colour) and texture (dimpled appearance) of an orange peel, for example the skin of the breast in inflammatory breast cancer, or the retina in Pseudoxanthoma elasticum. It refers more to the texture than the color.
