Bill Schultz (born William C. Schultz 1926 - died
September 21,
2006) was the former CEO of
Fender Musical Instruments Corporation.
Schultz became the company president of Fender after his recruitement from the American musical division of the Japanese giant
Yamaha Corporation in 1981. He was supported by associate Bill Mendello.. When CBS decided to sell the struggling company in 1985, Schultz and several other employees purchased it. He retired in 2005 and was replaced at Fender by Mendello.
