Nutshell

A nutshell is the woody outer shell of a nut. A nutshell generally is the undesirble section of a nut, and commonly the edible, usable section of the nut is inside, provocing the commonly used phrase "in a nutshell", because everything is wrapped up neatly in a "package", if you will. The term may also refer to:

• The MS-DOS-based original version of FileMaker;
• Nutshell (band), the Christian folk group from Great Britain;
• Nutshell (song), a song by Alice in Chains;
