Nate Dogg was an American musician who rose to fame as a member of the rap group "213" and had a very successful solo career as a collaborator and individual artist. Nate Dogg died on March 17, 2011 due to medical complications from various strokes. Nate Dogg suffered from a long history of strokes and the first occurred in 2007.
The first stroke in 2007 resulted in the entire left side of Nate Dogg's body being paralyzed. In September 2008 he suffered another stroke. His family members have said that at the time of this second stroke he was approximately 95% recovered from his first stroke and had regained motion in the left side of his body. The second stroke caused Nate Dogg to become partially paralyzed and suffer from memory loss. His death on March 17, 2011 was due to complications resulting from his previous strokes.
