Musty Musketeers

Musty Musketeers is the 154th short subject starring American slapstick comedy team the Three Stooges. The trio made a total of 190 shorts for Columbia Pictures between 1934 and 1959.

Plot

The Stooges wish to marry their sweethearts, but are forbidden by Old King Cole (Vernon Dent) until Princess Alicia (Virginia Hunter) weds Prince Valiant "when the flowers bloom in the Spring." Unfortunately, evil magician Murgittroyd (Philip Van Zandt) has his own plans to marry Alicia, and promptly abducts her. The Stooges, of course, do their best to foil his plot.

Notes

Musty Musketeers is a reworking of 1948's Fiddlers Three, using ample recycled footage.
