Microminiaturisation

Microminiaturisation

Microminiaturisation is the common name given to the dramatic effect the microprocessor had on electrical devices in the 1970s and 1980s. Before this time many 'computerised devices' ran using valves and then in turn transistors. The micoprocessor was able to take the place of these bulky components and reduce the overall size.
