Plot

Gerald Clamson (Jerry Lewis) is a bookkeeper who loves fishing. Unfortunately one day he reels in a gangster, Sid Valentine (also Jerry Lewis), who was diving in the ocean. Sid tells Gerald about the diamonds that he stole from another gangster.

Gerald heads to the Hilton Inn in San Diego where Sid told him the diamonds were hidden. There he meets Suzie Cartwright (Susan Bay), an airline stewardess. Together they search for the diamonds while trying to stay one step ahead of the other gangsters who are on their tail. A chase through San Diego's Sea World ensues, followed by a visit to the Pacific Ocean, where Sid reappears. The gangsters chase Sid into the ocean, and Gerald and Suzie walk away, deeply in love. The diamonds are never located.
