"Make Like Paper" is a song from Red House Painters' fifth studio album Songs for a Blue Guitar. The song has an interesting story behind it. Mark Kozelek presented the song to 4AD records, and it became the straw that broke the camel's back. 4AD asked Kozelek to edit out the distorted guitar crunch that appears more than halfway through the song. When he refused, it became one of the reasons that Red House Painters and 4AD parted ways.
