Loves Park is a city in Winnebago County, Illinois, United States. In recent years, the city spread across the eastern Winnebago county line and now reaches into Boone County, Illinois. The population was 20,044 at the 2000 census.
A special Census conducted in 2005 revealed the total population of Loves Park, IL to have grown to 22,476.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 14.8 square miles (38.4 km²), of which, 14.4 square miles (37.4 km²) of it is land and 0.4 square miles (1.0 km²) of it (2.50%) is water.
There were 8,144 households out of which 33.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 51.6% were married couples living together, 10.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 33.7% were non-families. 27.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 9.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.44 and the average family size was 2.99.

The median age was 35 years. For every 100 females there were 95.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 92.7 males.
