Louis Charles Antoine Desaix de Veygoux
Desaix de Veygoux, Louis Charles Antoine, 1768-1800, French general in the French Revolutionary Wars. He served under J. B. Jourdan and J. V. Moreau on the Rhine and distinguished himself in Napoleon Bonaparte's Egyptian campaign. He saved the day for Napoleon at Marengo, but he was killed there.
