Mud on the Tires is the third album by American country music singer-songwriter Brad Paisley. Released in 2003 on Arista Nashville, it produced four hit singles on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks (now Hot Country Songs) charts: "Celebrity" (#3), "Little Moments" (#2), "Whiskey Lullaby" (#3), and the title track, which was a Number One. The album itself has been certified 2× Multi-Platinum by the RIAA, while "Whiskey Lullaby" has been certified as a gold single. "Whiskey Lullaby" was also recorded by Jon Randall, who co-wrote the song, on his 2005 album Walking Among the Living.
"Is It Raining at Your House" is a cover of a single that was a #10-peaking country hit for Vern Gosdin, one of the song's co-writers, in 1990.
"The Cigar Song" is based on an urban legend about a man who purchases expensive cigars and buys insurance on them; after smoking them, he collects the insurance, claiming that he lost them in a "series of small fires".
