Monarch (Lay Your Jewelled Head Down)

Monarch (Lay Your Jewelled Head Down) is a 1999 album by Feist. It was recorded in Toronto and mixed at Hamilton's Catherine North Studio. Sold primarily at shows, Monarch became an underground hit, even generating a music video from the single "It's Cool To Love Your Family." Because of the album's rarity, and the level of Feist's subsequent success, Monarch (Lay Your Jewelled Head Down) has sold for upwards of $500 on popular auction websites such as eBay. Despite the relative success of Feist's follow-up album, Let It Die and the even greater success of The Reminder, Monarch (Lay Your Jewelled Head Down) remains out of print.
