An inverter may refer to

  • Inverter, an electrical/electronic device which converts direct current (DC) to alternating current (AC)
    • An "Inverter" tag found on some air conditioners indicates their ability to regulate the thermal power flow in a continuous manner; an electrical inverter (see above) is used to achieve this
    • Uninterruptible power supplies are sometimes referred to as "inverters" for having an electrical inverter (see above) as a principal component
  • Inverter, a logic gate also called a NOT gate.
