Hot working

[hot-wurk]
In materials science, hot working refers to processes where metals are deformed above their recrystallization temperature. Such temperatures are usually well above room temperatures (lead is an exception due to its low melting point). This contrasts with cold working. This means that strain hardening does not occur.
