Horsehead or horsehead can mean:-

  • A pump to pump oil out of oilwells, also called nodding donkey, see pumpjack.
  • An interstellar cloud of dust with the shape of a horse head, see Horsehead Nebula.
  • In some coalminers' jargon, a horsehead is a type of steel girder used in supporting mine tunnel roofs. The reason for the name is not known.
  • Horsehead (band), an Australian rock band
