Ginner, Charles, 1878-1952, English painter. After study in Paris, Ginner settled in London, becoming a founder of the neorealist school. During both world wars he was an official government artist. Among his World War II paintings are several scenes of air raids.

Charles Ginner (1878-1952) was born in Cannes. He settled in London in 1910 and was a key member of the Camden Town Group.

He was a member of the Cumberland Market Group, founded in 1914. He was an official artist in World War II. He painted buildings in an urban context as exampled by Plymouth Pier from The Hoe.
