From Mao to Mozart: Isaac Stern in China

From Mao to Mozart: Isaac Stern in China is a 1980 Oscar-winning documentary film about Western culture breaking into China. It portrays the famous violinist and teacher Isaac Stern, performing and teaching young Chinese students to play classical music. It was produced and directed by Murray Lerner. Among many others talented players, ten-year-old cellist Jian Wang (cellist) is featured briefly, Jian Wang has gone on to international stardom.
