The following is a list of some of the larger free admission conventions. This list of cons is not specific to one particular genre (ie, anime, science fiction, furry fandom, etc.), but covers all pop culture conventions that are currently free admission. There is usually not a hard number of attendance for this type of convention due to the lack of registration systems and payment counts.

The list is divided up by location, and each convention includes dates during which it is typically held in parentheses. Please note that the dates listed are approximate or traditional time periods for each convention; for more details, please see the article or website of the individual convention(s) concerned.

• Momocon (in Atlanta in mid-March)

Louisiana

• Numa Rei-No Con, located in New Orleans, but on hiatus due to Hurricane Katrina.

Michigan

• JAFAX (in Allendale at Grand Valley State University)

Wisconsin

• Geek.Kon (in Madison, Wisconsin in late September)
