Baron Courtauld-Thomson

Baron Courtauld-Thomson, of Dorneywood in the County of Buckingham, was a title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom. It was created on 1 February 1944 for the financier Sir Courtauld Courtauld-Thomson. Born Courtauld Thomson, he had assumed by deed poll the additional surname of Courtauld the same year he was elevated to the peerage. In 1947 he donated the Dorneywood estate to the National Trust. Lord Courtauld-Thomson never married and the title became extinct on his death on 1 November 1954.
