Bin Laden: The Failings of a Manhunt is a documentary film alleging that French soldiers could have killed Osama bin Laden twice but didn't because no orders came from US commanders.
The documentary to be aired on the French TV channel Planete was filmed by journalists Emmanuel Razavi and Eric de Lavarene and claims that the French troops had bin Laden targeted in 2003 and then again in 2004.
Four French soldiers in Afghanistan under US military control claim that they would have been able to kill bin Laden if US authorities had issued the command.
Both French and US authorities have denied the report.
