Emigrant is an
unincorporated community in
Park County,
Montana,
United States. As of the
2000 census, the
ZIP Code Tabulation Area for Emigrant had a population of 372. Emigrant is located in southern Montana, on the
Yellowstone River, about north of
Yellowstone National Park, and south of
Livingston.

Emigrant is located at 45.370°N, 110.733°W. It is at an elevation of .
Emigrant sits between the Absaroka Mountains and the Gallatin Range. It is at the base of foot tall Emigrant Peak.
Wildlife
Due to its location near the
Yellowstone River, Emigrant is a popular area for
fly fishing, and also home to many species, such as
American Badger,
Black-billed Magpie,
deer,
elk, and occasionally
American Bison and
wolves.
From Emigrant, it is only a few miles to the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness, and the Gallatin National Forest. Emigrant's proximity to the national forests, wilderness area, Yellowstone National Park and the Yellowstone River make it an ideal spot for outdoorsmen to visit and live in.
