Eleidin

Eleidin is a substance similar to keratin, which is present in the stratum lucidum of the skin (Ross & Pawlina, 2006). Eleidin is also a transformation product of keratohyalin. This is lifeless matter deposited in form of minute granules within the protoplasm of living cells.
