Duetting

[doo-et-ing, dyoo-]
Duetting is a term derived from the word "duet" which means a musical performance, especially a song sung by two people.

Duetting however relates to animal communication, where the male and the female species of animals, especially birds, communicate using the song system. This may be used as a warning, a mating call or for any other purpose. Article on Animal communicationReferences>
