The Doors experimented with the threshold between poetry and rock n' roll, forming ultimate originality during the 1960's. The dark and mysterious lyric's of The Doors written by lead singer Jim Morrison intrigued and lured a substanial portion of rock'n roll fans. The Door's name was awakened by Jim Morrison from author William Blake's quote "If the doors of perception were cleansed everything will appear to man as it is, infinite...". Though the Band experienced national success, they were often plagued with the farcical and outrageous actions of Jim Morrison who frequently came into contact with law obiding acts on stage and drunken and/ or "trippin" perfomances. After only a few years of performance Morrison traveled to vacation in Paris,France where he died at age 27 of heart-failure while taking a bath, leaving the rest of the doors to encounter "THe End".">The Doors
