Fidei depositum is an Apostolic constitution of the Catholic Church which states that the Catechism of the Catholic Church is the official exposition of the teachings of the Catholic Church, published by the authority of Pope John Paul II. It was published on 11 October 1992.

Fidei depositum declared the Catechism of the Catholic Church to be a valid and legitimate instrument for ecclesiastical communion and a sure norm for teaching the faith.
