Louis D. de Monge was a notable Belgian engineer and designer of the Bugatti Model 100 racing plane. The plane was almost completed in Paris in 1940 but, with the advent of the Second World War, was moved to the French countryside where it was hidden for the next thirty years. It eventually went to the U.S.A. where it now reside at the EAA Museum.
