Ballad of the Blues

Ballad of the Blues is a 1959 album by Jo Stafford. It is a concept album which tells a story through song, showcasing the influence of the Blues. The album has a predominantly pop setting and sees Stafford accompanied by her husband Paul Weston and backed by The Starlighters. Originally released in 1959 it was re-issued in 2003 with extra tracks featuring Stafford's explanation of the original release.
