Concinnity is the harmonious or purposeful reinforcement of the various parts of a work of art. Generally the higher the art, the higher the degree of concinnity.

Concinnity comes from the Latin "concintas", meaning skillfully put together. Although the concept of concinnity can apply to any object or situation, it is most commonly used in the discussion of music.

An example of concinnity would be when the various parts of a piece of music (melody, harmony, sound, rhythm, growth, etc.) reinforce each other, conveying the meaning by the form.
