Kay Deslys (
28 September,
1899 -
15 August,
1974) was a
British comedy actress in American films from the 1920s. Chubbily built, one of her earliest roles was in
Charlie Chaplin's celebrated feature
The Gold Rush; she later appeared in several comedies at the
Hal Roach Studios, including several early
Laurel and Hardy comedies.
During the 1930s and 1940s, she played mainly bit and extra roles in feature films before retiring in the early 1950s.
