Christine M. Durham

Christine M. Durham is the Chief Justice of the Utah Supreme Court, a position she has held since April 2002. She was appointed to the Supreme Court by Governor Scott M. Matheson in 1982. She became the first female chief justice to swear in to office a female governor when Olene Walker became Utah's 15th governor. Prior to her appointment she was a partner with Salt Lake City's Johnson, Durham & Moxley. A graduate of the Duke University School of Law, Justice Durham serves as a member of the Duke University Board of Trustees. She has taught at the law schools of Brigham Young University and the University of Utah.
