Le Chauve-Souris (translated:
The Bat) was the name of a touring
revue during the early 1900s. Originating in
Europe (some sources say
Russia, others
Germany), the revue toured the
United States and Europe, and was very well received by the public.
Le Chauve-Souris inspired a parody called No Sirree! created and performed by members of the Algonquin Round Table.
