Casually Dressed & Deep in Conversation is the debut album of the
Welsh post-hardcore band Funeral for a Friend. The
album was released on
October 20,
2003 through
Ferret Music. Produced by
Colin Richardson and co-produced by the band.
Casually Dressed & Deep in Conversation shows a new direction for the band from
Four Ways to Scream Your Name (2002), and displays a more mature and developed sound. The album also features brand-new versions of the songs "Juneau," "Escape Artists Never Die," "Red is the New Black" and "Summer's Dead and Buried" (now called "Waking Up"). The album made #12 on the UK charts and went Gold.
The cover of the album as well as its subsequent singles is based on the two paintings "The Lovers by the Belgian surrealist artist René Magritte.
