History: 1998 - 1999: Founded as The Capital Markets Company NV in 1998 by Belgian entrepreneur Rob Heyvaert. Initial funding by founders and Mercator & Noordstar. Open offices in Belgium, London, New York and Frankfurt.
2000: Strategic investment round led by Thomas Weisel Capital Partners (TWCP) ($125m). CoBASS clearing and settlement software suite licensed to KSEI KPEI. e-Voyage client event, “Forming the Future of Finance,” for 80 senior executives. Open offices in Paris, San Francisco and Singapore.
2001: Rebranded as “Capco” to reflect expanding capabilities in Personal Financial Services and Asset Management. Publish 1st issue of The Capco Journal Joint-venture with Reuters to develop and commercialize reference data cleansing software.
2002: Strategic Marketing Alliance with Hewlett-Packard supported by $30M equity investment. Bill Irving joins from PWC as President. Predrag Dizdarevic joins from FTI to lead Managed Services initiative.
2003: Win first major transformation initiative (CIBC). Further expansion in Personal Financial Services. Recapitalization of $15M led by TWCP.
2004: Acquire Iverson Financial Systems & increase focus on Capco Reference Data Services (CRDS). Open Bangalore office. Development and launch of Enterprise Research Authoring Solution (ERAS). Creation of “Transforum”
2005: Bangalore staff approx 100 people. Open Toronto office. Implement regional operating model focused on Americas, Europe and Asia. Gopi Chelliah joins from Deutsche Bank to lead BPO and Sourcing Services initiative. Announce strategic alliance with i-flex around ORTOS Operational Risk Toolkit. Delivered CIBC Transformation, exceeding targets. Industry-leading Reference Data outsourcing deal with ING.
2006: Symphony Technology Group and Capco Management buy all outstanding shares in Capco
2007: Capco acquires City Practitioners
Calyon Signs Three-Year Consulting, Systems Integration and Application Outsourcing Services Agreements with Accenture and Capco
