Caltha

Caltha is a small genus of ten species of flowering plants in the family Ranunculaceae, native to temperate regions of both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres. Common names include kingcup and marsh marigold. The name Caltha derives from the Greek for a cup (calyx), describing the open flowers.
