Brave: The Search for Spirit Dancer

Brave: The Search for Spirit Dancer is a platformer video game of the action-adventure genre originally released in 2005 by Vis Entertainment for the PlayStation 2.

Overview and Gameplay

The game is set in a world of Native American mythology, it follows a young Native American boy named Brave embarking on a journey to save his tribe. Brave needs to find Spirit Dancer, a legendary shaman who disappeared a long time ago, to save his tribe from the evil Wendigo.

The main game features a diversity of levels, with Brave needing to make his way to the end of each level. Brave learns a number of attacks and skills as the player makes his way though the game.


Brave: The Search for Spirit Dancer is planned to be ported to a number of other systems, and be published by SouthPeak Interactive, planned systems include Wii, Nintendo DS, and PlayStation Portable. There is no planned release date confirmed.


Brave: The Search for Spirit Dancer received mainly mediocre reviews, IGN gave the game a 5.1 saying the game lacked objection, and also had a bad camera. 1UP gave it a better review, giving the game a B, while Gamespot gave the game a 6.6 saying the game was hindered by bugs but liked the pace the game move at.
