"Hit Me with Your Best Shot" is a song written by Eddie Schwartz and recorded by Pat Benatar in 1979, that became a hit in 1980. It is the first single from her 1980 album Crimes of Passion, and it hit #9 on the Billboard Hot 100. The single also sold 1 million copies, reaching gold certification. The song is Pat Benatar's most recognizable song. It can be heard at many soccer games, and is featured on many of Pat Benatar's greatest hits compilations.

• The song is a playable track in the game Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, as well as Guitar Hero: On Tour for the Nintendo DS. It is suggested to be the easiest song to beat in Guitar Hero III from an in-game quote [after finishing the Guitar Battle tutorial, God requests to challange Lou to a guitar battle to which he responds "What'll it be this time, Hit Me With Your Best Shot on Easy???"]
