Baa Bahoo Aur Baby is a Hindi television programme about the story of Godavari Thakkar and her family. After her brothers settle in America, Godavari moves into the mansion given to her by her sister-in-law, Gurvanti (Supriya Pathak Kapur), with her husband, Labhshankar, their six sons and two daughters, and their partners and children. The show, broadcast on STAR Plus is about the problems Godavari's family face, which are typical of any middle class family in Mumbai.
Sagas
When the serial first aired in late 2005 the first episodes were purely devoted to the introduction of the Thakkar family, and the roles they played within the household. As the characters and their lives developed, many story arcs were generated from it.
A Missing Man
In the last week of June, Gopal (more famously known as "Gattu"), one of the most famous characters in Indian television, was missing when they were returning from vacation. Gattu wanted to shift from one car to other and he was mistaken for being in the other car by the occupants of the two cars. After few weeks, he was found in the state of Haryana. Gudiya, a new character introduced less than a year ago, had taken an initiative to search him and finally she found him in a dhaba, being cared of by a lady. Few viewers were upset about this plot but finally they were happy when Gattu returned to the family.
Happy Birthday!
On the 6th of August, Baby, a character famous due to her polionised legs, has had her birthday. On her last birthday, Gattu had made her a huge surprise, which included a 60 feet poster saying 'Happy Birthday Baby!'. This year, however, was a party where Baby sat on a huge platform and watched her family members dance as famous characters, which included Dracul and lots more. Added to promote the movie 'Singh is King' was a surprise visit from
