Eaux d'artifice is a
1953 short film which consists entirely of a woman, wearing eighteenth century clothes, who wanders amidst the garden fountains of the
Villa d'Este in
Tivoli,
Italy., until she steps into a fountain and disappears. It was made by
Kenneth Anger. In 1993, this short film was selected for preservation in the United States
National Film Registry by the
Library of Congress as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant".
