Bilal Maqsood (Urdu: بلال مقصود) is the son of popular writer, actor, artist and comedian Anwar Maqsood, and is a member of the very popular Pakistani pop band Strings. He has also directed a number of music videos. For Bilal and his band Strings success came in 1992 after the launch of the song Sar Kiye Yeh Pahar, the song was an instant hit and so was Strings. Strings made its entry into the Bollywood music scene in 2006.

Bilal Started On The Keyboards And Composition At The Age Of Twelve, Long Before The Concept Of Strings Was Evolved, And Later When Strings Came Into Being, He Took Over The Guitars Along With Composition And Co-Writing The Lyrics Of Their Songs With Faisal.

Bilal Is Famous TV Playwright And Author Anwar Maqsood's Son.Bilal Has One Younger Sister, Who Is Married. Bilal Is An Artist Of The "Painting" Kind As Well...He Has Held Several Exhibitions In Pakistan. He Describes His Style As "Not Abstract, But More Of A Cubist Style."
