The
Arctic Region Supercomputing Center (ARSC) is a research facility organized under the
University of Alaska Fairbanks. It is funded by the
United States Department of Defense, and is a member of the department's High Performance Computing Modernization Program (HPCMP). The center was founded in 1993, and serves a wide variety of computational needs for both the
University of Alaska and the Department of Defense.
The center produces a newsletter, Currents, and an annual magazine, Challenges in Science and Engineering.
