DIAPHYSIS - 2 reference results
The diaphysis is the main or mid section (shaft) of a long bone. It is made up of cortical bone and usually contains bone marrow and adipose tissue (fat).
An aggressive form of childhood bone cancer, Ewing's sarcoma, usually occurs in the diaphysis.
