CERASTIUM - 2 reference results
Cerastium (Mouse-ear chickweed) is a genus of annual, winter annual, or perennial plants belonging to the family Caryophyllaceae. There are around 100 species that are found nearly worldwide but mostly from the northern temperate areas of the world.
Cerastium species are used as food plants by the larvae of some Lepidoptera species including Coleophora chalcogrammella (which feeds exclusively on Cerastium arvense) and Coleophora striatipennella (which has been recorded on Cerastium fontanum).
