  • Baltimore Stock Exchange - Merged with Philadelphia Stock Exchange in 1949.
  • Buffalo Stock Exchange - Closed in 1936.
  • Cincinnati Stock Exchange - Moved to Chicago and renamed National Stock Exchange in 1995.
  • Cleveland Stock Exchange - Merged with Stock Exchanges of Chicago, Minneapolis-St. Paul, and St. Louis to form Midwest Stock Exchange in 1949.
  • Colorado Springs Stock Exchange - Closed in 1966.
  • Denver Stock Exchange - Closed in 1936.
  • Detroit Stock Exchange - Closed in 1976.
  • Hartford Stock Exchange - Closed in 1934.
  • Honolulu Stock Exchange - Closed in 1977.
  • Los Angeles Oil Exchange - Merged with San Francisco Stock and Bond Exchange to form Pacific Coast Stock Exchange in 1957, which became Pacific Exchange in 1997.
  • Louisville Stock Exchange - Closed in 1935.
  • Midwest Stock Exchange - Renamed Chicago Stock Exchange in 1993.
  • Milwaukee Stock Exchange - Closed in 1938.
  • Minneapolis-St. Paul Stock Exchange - Merged with Stock Exchanges of Chicago, Cleveland, and St. Louis to form Midwest Stock Exchange in 1949.
  • New Orleans Stock Exchange - Merged with Midwest Stock Exchange in 1959.
  • Pacific Exchange - Closed Los Angeles and San Francisco trading floors in 2001 and 2002, respectively. Continues operations as NYSE Arca.
  • Pittsburgh Stock Exchange - Merged with Philadelphia Stock Exchange in 1996.
  • Richmond Stock Exchange - Closed in 1972.
  • St. Louis Stock Exchange - Merged with Stock Exchanges of Chicago, Cleveland, and Minneapolis-St. Paul to form Midwest Stock Exchange in 1949.
  • Salt Lake City Stock Exchange - Closed in 1986.
  • San Francisco Stock and Bond Exchange - Merged with Los Angeles Oil Exchange to form Pacific Coast Stock Exchange in 1957, which became Pacific Exchange in 1997.
  • Seattle Stock Exchange - Closed in 1942.
  • Spokane Stock Exchange - Closed in 1991.
  • Washington, D.C. Stock Exchange - Merged with Philadelphia Stock Exchange in 1953.
  • Wheeling Stock Exchange - Closed in 1965.

Note: Aside from the Los Angeles Oil Exchange, San Francisco Stock and Bond Exchange, and the ultimate names of merged entities(e.g. Midwest Stock Exchange, National Stock Exchange, Philadelphia Stock Exchange, etc.), proper names of the exchanges are unverified.
