All Saints School, Bhopal

All Saints' School, Bhopal is one of the early English medium schools located at Idgah Hills Bhopal, India. It was founded in 1980 by Iris Cynthia Philomene Auer. Miss Auer came to India after she retired from the principalship of her school in England. The acclaim that All Saints achieved in the past was evident in the growth from seven pupils in July 1980 to the present numerical strength of over 2,500 pupils.

Miss Auer's capabilities as an educationalist and administrator both in precept and example were recognized in the award of Member of the British Empire (MBE) accredited to her in the Queen's Birthday Honours List in 1989. Her Royal Highness, Princess Alexandra of Kent presented the award to Miss Auer in October of that year.

The School has four houses: Vindhya, Himachal, Yamuna and Ganga. There is an annual House Competition with contests, including dancing, singing, elocution, and drama.

Extracurricular activities

All Saints' has always been known to be heavily involved in all sorts of extracurricular activities. They have regular dance classes, Karate lessons, cricket, football, throwball, and other sports teams. They also participate in various friendly tournaments, the most famous one being the yearly All Saints Vs. Scinidia Boys School, Gwalior. The school has always encouraged its students to participate and excel resulting in over 10 black belts in Karate and a few national level players in almost every sport. All Saints has a choir whose members are handpicked by Miss Auer's favourite singers in the school. One of the most popular and formal events is the annual farewell party thrown by the 11th grade in honour of the outgoing batch of students.

Office bearers

The Head Boy and Head Girl occupy the highest office in the school, followed by Coordinator, Head Prefect, Prefects, and Sub-Prefects. The tradition of a parade by representatives of respective houses, led by the Head Boy and Head Girl, is one of the most impressive events.

Alumni association

Saints' Circle is the alumni association of students of All Saints' School. Many of the former students of All Saints are in the USA, UK, Middle East, Australia, etc.

Notable alumni

Apurv Bhatnagar - serving for the Indian Army as a major posted in Ferozpur and has recently bagged a Gallantry Award from the President of India for one of the brave encounters with the mercenaries in Kashmir. (IC-61651 Capt Apurv Bhatnagar, 1 Jammu and Kashmir Rifles)

Atul Shrivastava - serving for the State government of Madhya Pradesh as Commercial Tax(Sale Tax) officer.
