Hokkaido Air System

, or HAC, is an airline based in Chitose, Hokkaidō, Japan. It operates scheduled domestic services in Hokkaidō. Its main base is Okadama Airport in Sapporo, although its actual headquarters are at New Chitose Airport outside the city.

History

The airline was established in 1997 and started operations in 1998. Founded as a joint venture, it was an affiliate of Japan Air System until that airline consolidated into Japan Airlines. Hokkaido Air System is owned by Japan Airlines Domestic (51%) and Hokkaidō regional government (49%).

Air Hokkaido ceased operations on 31 March 2006 and its sole route, Hakodate-Okushiri, was taken over the next day by Hokkaido Air System
