Cowley, London

Cowley is a place in the London Borough of Hillingdon. It is a suburban development situated 15.4 miles (24.8 km) west of Charing Cross. It is also home to St. Laurance's Church which was mentioned in the dooms day book as it is that old!

From 1836 to 10 September 1962 there was a railway line between West Drayton and Uxbridge, with an intermediate station at Cowley (opened 1 October 1904). There is still a 'Station Road,' which bridges where the tracks once were.
