in 2001, prior to the 9/11 attacks.
A former Captain
for Northwest Airlines
, Prevost was assigned to teach Moussaoui at the Pan American Flight Academy
in Eagan, Minnesota
, in August 2001 but immediately saw that Moussaoui did not have enough experience to hope to obtain a license to fly a jumbo jet. He soon grew suspicious of Moussaoui and reported him to the authorities.
On January 24, 2008, Prevost received a $5 million reward for providing authorities with information that led to Moussaoui's arrest and conviction.
