The University Line is a planned line of Houston's light rail system, the METRORail. The University Line is a component of Phase 2 of the METRO Solutions referendum that voters approved in 2003. Traveling west from Main Street, the line will extend from Wheeler Station on Richmond to Cummins then south on Cummins to the Westpark right-of-way and terminate at the Hillcroft Transit Center. Traveling east from Main Street, the line will extend from Wheeler Station to Ennis and Alabama, the University of Houston and further north on Scott Street and east on Elgin Street to the Eastwood Transit Center. The line is tentatively scheduled to open in 2012. The following stations are those that have been proposed for the METRORail University Line.
